This easy-to-navigate circular route with only a few small inclines has a lot to offer in terms of scenery.
The Elseaue between Bünde and Kirchlengern is crossed right at the beginning, where the river is characterized by a natural course with pronounced meanders and high steep banks.
In the landscape around Gut Bustedt, small woods alternate with meadows and pastures and, last but not least, the Hücker Moor is a popular excursion destination and a highlight of the tour. On the other hand, the roads through Bünde and Enger invite you to take a museum tour. You can visit a total of 6 museums along this route (including the Museumsinsel Bünde and the Kleinbahnmuseum.Enger).
The route runs for the most part along independent cycle paths with an easily navigable water-bound path surface or asphalt surface, from where you can enjoy the landscape undisturbed.
An alternative starting point is the train station in Kirchlengern, which also offers parking facilities, or Gut Bustedt, where the OWL Biology Center is located.
The train stations in Kirchlengern and Bünde are easy to reach from Herford and Bad Oeynhausen by regional express train or Eurobahn. Bicycle transport is possible here to a limited extent.
