Located today in the middle of dense residential development, August Schuster's cigar factory was established in 1909 on the rather sparsely populated outskirts of the town at the time. When the company was entered in the commercial register in September of that year, nobody could have guessed that it would be one of the few companies to make the leap into the third millennium. Today, managed by the grandchildren of the company founder, the fourth generation is already in the starting blocks to continue this long tradition. In addition to a number of well-established brands, including the "Alte Handwerk" and the "Bremer Senatoren", cigar boxes are still produced behind the façade of this stone witness to history, and not just for the company's own products.
