Herford is an exciting city and now another museum has been added in the heart of Herford: the AFaM. The mysterious abbreviation stands for "Archaeological Window at the Minster". A newly created site at a historic location where the noble ladies of Herford Abbey once lived. Excavations over 35 years ago have provided interesting insights, which are now staged at this very special location on the north side of the cathedral and around the Wolderus Chapel. The city tour connects the AFaM with several monuments and ends at the Municipal Museum, where the history of the Abbey after the Reformation is also presented.
