If you have always wanted to visit the Iburg ruins, which gave the town of Bad Driburg its name, this is just the thing for you.
A short (approx. 6 km) hike through the beautiful landscape of the Egge, with interesting information about the history of the Iburg and the Sachsenklause.

380 m high on a rocky outcrop sits the Kaiser-Karls-Turm with a fantastic view of the town. Directly behind it are the ruins of the Iburg, a high medieval castle complex from the 8th/9th century, which was destroyed in the 15th century.
