This district hiking trail connects the former Marienmünster abbey church with the Eggeweg trail near Herbram-Wald. This hiking trail was created in 1995 and is named after Germany's great poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff (1797-1848), who was born in the moated castle of Hülshoff near Münster but lived in "mountainous Westphalia" for a long time. This route touches on numerous historical and cultural focal points in the East Westphalian region in a very small area.
The trail touches on the places where famous German poets worked.
