The route first leads along the Senne before reaching the eastern Teutoburg Forest. Via Breitenaht, the route climbs up to the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest and on to the Hermann Monument. There you have the opportunity to visit the nature park's anniversary festival for around two hours, enjoy refreshments and discover the wide range of events on offer.
At around 2 p.m., the return journey begins together, which leads via the Düsterlau plateau and Winnfeld through the Lippe Forest towards Nassesand. Via Fürstenallee, the route finally leads back to the starting point in Schlangen.
The tour covers around 35 kilometers and 510 meters in altitude. The route, which is challenging in parts, runs mainly on paved paths and offers a perfect combination of sporting challenge, nature experience and a special event visit.
