Trip/excursion
Matthias Füller, former head of the Lippe Biological Station, and Yasmin Günterberg from the "Green Infrastructure" of the district of Lippe will guide you to the dry valleys in the Egge foreland.
These are attractive hiking destinations at any time of year. From Kohlstädt, the route climbs steadily up the old Triftweg trail to the plateau at the Hochsteinhöhle cave.

Old rows of pollarded trees and hedges line the historic path, which initially leads through a semi-open pasture landscape with species-rich rough grassland. After a short detour to the Hohlstein cave (which of course is not visited!), we return to our starting point on the other side of the valley, walking parallel to the trail. With an elevation gain of around 220 meters, the approximately 6.5 km hike is physically somewhat strenuous.

Start: 11 am at the Kohlstädt Schützenhalle, Lippspringer Straße 13 b, 33189 Kohlstädt; please note: no parking spaces directly on site, but on the main road or in the side streets. in the side streets
