The Altenbeken Wilderness Trail leads us to the Bielstein Gorge in the neighboring district of Lippe.

Please bear in mind that you are in a nature reserve when entering the Bielstein Gorge.
Huge limestone walls overgrown with a deer-tongue canyon forest surround the Bielstein Gorge. The crescent-shaped Bielstein Cave itself is a crevice about 1 m wide and 3 m high with a length of approx. 42 m, a refuge for bats and a sensitive ecosystem.
