Located in the center of Schlangen, the historic transformer tower station Schlangen Mitte provides an insight into the electrification of the village, which began in 1912 with the commissioning of the streetcar. In 1925, the first transformer station was built over the Schlangen stream due to a lack of building space ... a unique feature in Germany. For some years now, the building, which was extended in 1956/57, and its almost completely preserved historical equipment, including the transformer, switchboards and fuse elements, have served as an electricity museum;
