Where church and school were once under one roof
In the past, Erpentrup and Langeland belonged to the parish of Sandebeck. Erpentrup already had its own chapel in 1732, which was demolished in 1821. It was replaced by a new building which combined the chapel and school. This was very progressive, as it saved the children the long journey to school in Sandebeck. This building was also demolished in 1982 and today Erpentrup and Langeland share a modern church, St. Johannes Nepomuk Church, which was built between 1976 and 1978.

By car:
Start in Bad Driburg (zip code 33014) and first follow Dringenberger Straße until you reach Konrad-Adenauer-Ring (travel time approx. 2 minutes, 700 m).
Then take the route via Brunnenstraße, K18, K2, B252 and Meinolfusstraße in the direction of Bökendorf, Brakel. You should allow about 19 minutes for this route (approx. 20 km).
Then turn left - the church of St. Johannes Nepomuk is about 30 meters down the road on the right-hand side.
By bus:
If you would like to travel from Bad Driburg by bus, you can start at the "Bad Driburg Polizei" stop, for example. From there, take bus no. 570 in the direction of "Brakel, Bahnhof".
At Brakel station, change to the number 585 bus in the direction of "MM-Vörden, Busbahnhof". Then get off at the bus stop "BK-Bökendorf, Kirche".
From there it is only about 1 minute's walk to the church of St. Johannes Nepomuk.
