The playground is located near an artesian well, which is the main source of water for the fish ponds. A pipeline goes about 100 m underground here. The water penetrates from the limestone at this depth to the surface without pumping, flows through a pipeline into the first fish pond and from there into the deeper ponds.
The six ponds surrounded by forest form the core of the popular fish pond recreation area. There is also a floodlit running trail, a climbing park, rowing boat hire, a mini-golf course and a café-restaurant.

Take the highway A 33 to the exit "Pad.-Zentrum"; then keep in the direction of Paderborn city center. At the first set of traffic lights, turn left into Heinz-Nixdorf-Ring. Then turn right at the seventh set of traffic lights into Dubelohstraße.
By public transportation:
Take the city bus lines 14, 16 (PaderSprinter) to the "Abzweig Fischteiche" stop.
