Where light, glass and landscape meet

Through the spheriscope, you look at the world with different eyes, as the environment is magically refracted in it.

The spheriscope is part of the Kaleidoscope Trail and is located directly next to a bench and a bench on the Rosenberg. From here you have a beautiful view of the Bad Driburg district of Alhausen.

About the Kaleidoscope Trail:

The interplay of colored glass and light has always fascinated us humans. With kaleidoscopes, this fascination - and thus also part of Bad Driburg's cultural history - can be experienced in a playful way. On the Kaleidoscope Trail, eight locations with giant kaleidoscopes of various designs invite children and adults to play with light and glass.

The 5.8-kilometre circular trail starts at the leisure pool and can be divided into two loops of 2.5 kilometers (northern loop / Rosenberg) and 3.3 kilometers (southern loop / Arboretum). As you hike along the well-maintained, well-marked paths with destination signposts, you will be treated to magnificent views of the Teutoburg Forest / Eggegebirge Nature Park landscape time and again.

By car:
Start in Bad Driburg (zip code 33014) and follow Dringenberger Straße until you reach Konrad-Adenauer-Ring - this will take about 2 minutes (approx. 700 m). Then continue along Brunnenstraße - you will cover about 2 kilometers in about 4 minutes.
Then follow the road Hinter dem Rosenberge and turn onto the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Weber-Wanderweg. After about 1 kilometer (approx. 3 minutes) you will reach the Sphäriskop, a station on the Kaleidoscope Trail - with a wonderful view of the Bad Driburg district of Alhausen.

By bus:
If you want to get to the Sphäriskop by bus, take line 577 in the direction of "Bad Driburg, Stadtmitte". One possible bus stop is "Bad Driburg, Glashütte". Get off at the stop "Bad Driburg, Klinik Berlin".
From there, you can reach the Sphäriskop in about 12 minutes on foot. The path takes you along the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Weber hiking trail up to the Rosenberg, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Alhausen as well as the spheriscope.
