Leineweber-Denkmal

Monument
The Leineweber monument from 1909 is a reminder of the economic importance of the linen trade for the development of the town.
The Leineweber monument from 1909 is located next to the church in Altstädter Kirchpark. The bronze figure, created by the sculptor Hans Perathoner, is a reminder of the economic importance of the linen trade for the development of the town.

The model was the former Jöllenbeck linen weaver Heinrich Heienbrok. With his pipe, knotted stick and holster, the linen weaver is the symbol of Rovensberg's industrial diligence and, along with Sparrenburg Castle, another landmark of Bielefeld.
