Altstädter Nicolaikirche

Church
It is the oldest town church in Bielefeld.
In the immediate vicinity of the Alter Markt is Bielefeld's oldest town church, which was elevated to an independent parish church in 1236. Inside the Gothic hall church (1340) is the precious carved altar created in a workshop of the Antwerp Lucas Guild (1524). A total of 250 figures in scenes from biblical history can be seen in the carvings.

At 9.58, 12.58, 15.58 and 18.58, a carillon consisting of 36 bells rings out.
