There are various legends about this place. Fallen French soldiers are said to have found their final resting place here. Whether it was soldiers from Napoleon's army or those who died in the Battle of Gohfeld in 1758 who were buried here - nobody knows for sure. In any case, on a clear day, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view from the Wiehengebirge mountains over the Schweichelner Berg to Herringhausen.
