The banks of the Ems at the skatepark: Dip your feet in the water

Relaxation and adventure in one

The newly redesigned Ems riverbank is a place where exercise, nature, and relaxation come together in a special way. New, large rocks along the riverbank offer the perfect opportunity to soak up the sun while dipping your feet in the cool water and watching the natural flow of the Ems in quiet contemplation.

The barefoot trail offers another unique experience, bringing visitors tangibly closer to nature. So, please feel free to walk on it. Also inviting: the convenient rest area, which is perfect for picnics. If you’d like to take a little nap afterward, you’ll find plenty of space on our spacious loungers, where you can dream of the park’s other attractions and adventures.

Next to the banks of the Ems lies the popular skate park, which is definitely worth a stop. There’s energy in the air here. Wheels roll over the concrete; teenagers take a running start, zoom down the ramp, and boldly show off their tricks, while spectators cheer them on and applaud enthusiastically.

When you visit the banks of the Ems and the skatepark, experience a lively mix of speed and tranquility, wonder and relaxation. Look forward to a place where you can enjoy the park with all your senses.

The Ems riverbank is part of the “Wasserreich Flora Westfalica” project, which was co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Transportation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
