Old Shooting Range in Rhedaer Forest

Deep in the Rhedaer Forest lies the old shooting range—a quiet relic of times past. Where shooting exercises once took place, nature has now reclaimed large parts of the grounds. Old structures, overgrown earthen embankments, and the site’s unique atmosphere make the former shooting range an interesting destination for anyone wishing to explore the history and nature of the Rhedaer Forest.

The site serves as a reminder of the forest’s former use and, at the same time, impressively demonstrates how the landscape and vegetation change over time. During a walk through the forest, the old shooting range can easily be incorporated into a longer forest loop. The combination of a peaceful forest setting, exploring historical traces, and an immersive nature experience is particularly appealing.

Visitors are asked to use the existing trails, respect nature, and observe any barriers or signs on site.
