The Old Grain Distillery in Hille - An insight into the world of grain brandy

The Old Grain Distillery in Hille, an important industrial monument in the heart of the village, offers an exciting experience for anyone interested in the art of distilling and regional history. Here, visitors not only learn how grain brandy is made, but also immerse themselves in the history of grain distilling, which dates back to 1721.

The former agricultural grain distillery of the Christian Meyer family is located in the center of the village of Hille. Alcohol was distilled from grain here from 1721 to 1990. Spirits such as the famous "Hiller Moorbrand" come from this distillery.

Today, museum guides accompany visitors through the industrial monument. They show the path from solid grain to liquid grain in the bottle using the working equipment from the grain floor to the customs cellar and tell stories from the past to the present. The granary holds a collection of old household utensils and brings back memories of grandma's parlor.

You can also enjoy cultural events in the boiler house.
