A place for environmental education and relaxation
The area around the historic Hofgut von Oeynhausen estate has become a magnet for those seeking recreation and educational institutions. Schools and kindergartens use the natural surroundings for educational excursions that focus on ecology and environmental education.
The facility focuses on a harmonious combination of nature and education. Visitors can not only enjoy nature, but also learn interesting facts about ecological relationships.
At the center of the site is the 1200 square meter Reimler's pond, which forms the heart of the grounds. With its tranquil expanse of water and surrounding green space, the pond is a popular place to relax and observe. Numerous plants, animals and insects have found a habitat here, and the natural surroundings create a relaxed atmosphere.
History:
The estate was initially owned by the von Voss family. In 1699, Ernst Johann von Oeynhausen and Susanna Pohlmans acquired the estate, which is why it is also known as "Von Oeynhausen`scher Hof". The two coats of arms on the archway and the manor house are a reminder of this. After the death of the von Oeynhausen family, Christian Friedrich Pohlmans inherited the estate.
A former Hiller citizen named Reimler, who emigrated to America around 1800 and made money there, acquired the estate after his return and was a generous donor in the village of Hille (had a fire station built, among other things).
The current owner is Geolock GmbH.
