Hiking with alpacas at Gehrden Castle combines enjoyment of nature with animal companions. The Leifeld family inspires with their knowledge of alpacas and offers an unforgettable experience for young and old.
A hike with our 12 alpacas and 2 llamas offers the perfect opportunity to calm down and escape from everyday life. The hike, which takes around 2 to 2.5 hours, is a soothing break for body and soul. In the evening or at the weekend, the trail leads through picturesque forests and fields, with the animals setting the relaxed pace. Far away from the hustle and bustle, you can experience nature intensively and automatically slow down.

Each animal has its own personality, from curious and gentle to cheeky and full of life, and the interaction with the humans ensures the right hiking combinations. Children will also find this an exciting opportunity to get to know and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Our various hiking offers provide the right thing for everyone. You can end the walk with a drink in a relaxed atmosphere, sharing your experiences and rounding off a special day.

As our four-legged friends only feel comfortable in company, at least two animals must be booked for each walk.
