Weltkindertag Vlotho

  • Tip
  • Children’s programme
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, downtown Vlotho will be all about the children: For the tenth time, World Children’s Day will be celebrated with a varied program on Sommerfelder Platz and on the lower part of Lange Straße. From 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., children, families, and anyone interested are invited to discover the wide range of activities and join in the fun.
About 20 clubs and organizations will be showcasing themselves this afternoon. Creative craft activities and other events—such as the mobile music workshop—await young visitors at numerous booths. In addition, the mobile forest school offers exciting insights into the local natural world. Those who enjoy sports and challenges can put their skills to the test with stilt walking or the bouncy castle.

Starting at 3:00 p.m., the children’s choir of the Protestant parish will perform on Sommerfelder Platz. Everyone is welcome to sing along.

Of course, there will be plenty to eat and drink. In addition to bratwurst, fries, soft drinks, and cake, there will also be waffles and goodie bags.
