The Wisent Tower
The Wisent Tower rests on 16 so-called earth dowels and is also founded on a concrete retaining wall. Its base area is initially 4 × 4 meters and expands upwards to 5 × 5 meters. The tower reaches a total height of 12 meters. The viewing platform at a height of 9 meters can be reached via 43 steps. The special highlight is the central double helix that separates the ascent and descent - a construction that is as clever as it is impressive.

Certainly worth seeing.
The bison tower is located in the Hardehausen bison enclosure near Warburg. The Hammerhof Forest Information Center (Walme 50, 34414 Warburg-Scherfede) is the destination address for the approach. From there, both the enclosures and the tower are easily accessible, often via the hiking parking lot by the lake. The extensive grounds offer several observation platforms and are home to bison, wild horses and red deer.
