The hostel is open all year round for a maximum of 7 overnight guests, with an island of peace with a view of the foothills of the southern Teutoburg Forest. Hikers have the option of breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal.
The name of the café and hostel is derived from the history of the pilgrimage site of Kleinenberg. Many pilgrimages with different pilgrimage groups take place here from May to October. The Lourdes Grotto is located on the pilgrimage site and is also a popular excursion destination outside of the pilgrimage months, often followed by a visit to the café.
