Tietelsen

Historic town centre
The village with its 220 inhabitants, which dates back to the 9th century, is located between the town of Brakel and the Weser town of Beverungen.
Tietelsen had its own priest as early as 1337. Today's parish church, dedicated to St. Bartholomew, dates back to 1801. While the rest of today's urban area of Beverungen was largely spared in World War II, the most intense battle in the entire region took place here in 1945, in which the Americans in particular suffered heavy losses.

Tietelsen has its own community center, which is used for a variety of purposes. There is also a Catholic kindergarten here, which is also attended by children from the neighboring villages of Rothe and Drenke. Agriculture still plays a major role in the village today.
