Built in 1801 but not consecrated until 1892, the church appears quite modest and simple from the outside. Inside, however, it features a magnificent work of art: the splendid Baroque pulpit, with ornamentation that is exceptionally rich for the Westphalian region. It was crafted around 1700 and was originally located at the Böddeken Monastery near Büren, but was moved to Tietelsen following secularization.
Incidentally, in a niche behind the portal, there is a noteworthy lower section of a capital bearing runic symbols, which may date back to pagan times.
