Sportflugplatz Haxterberg bei Paderborn

Airport/airfield
Haxterberg airfield (ICAO designation: ELDR) is located around 3.5 kilometers south of Paderborn city centre on the 244-meter-high Haxterberg of the same name.
From here, there is an excellent view of the city center some 120 meters below and across the Senne to the Teutoburg Forest. A 750-metre-long asphalt runway and a 1200-metre-long grass runway serve as take-off and landing strips. The World Gliding Championships were held here in 1981.
