The listed main building - a two-storey half-timbered house - dates back to 1715

There are two theories as to the origin and meaning of the name Sattelmeyer. On the one hand, Sattel can refer to "Sadel = seat" or "sadeln = to settle" (Saxon), and designates these farmsteads as ancestral seats or original settlements, where the first settlers had their homes.

On the other hand, according to documents from the 17th century, the Sattelmeyer were farmers who always had to provide a strong man with a horse and saddle to defend their lords. This could also be the origin of the name Sattelmeyer. The unpopular standby service was soon converted into a monetary fee.

The main building of the Sattelmeier-Hof Meyer-Johann dates back to 1715. The half-timbered house was built as a two-storey half-timbered house. Inside the house, two rows of wooden posts support the roof beams. The two rows of studs run the length of the building, forming the sides of the typical hallway. On both sides of the eaves of the house, there are attached vaults, side aisles with non-load-bearing walls. The show gable side is dominated by the doorway, the frame of which is richly decorated with inscriptions, as is usual for this type of house.
