nature experiences - various
The Merschetal valley is one of the dry valleys typical of the Paderborn plateau.
The Merschetal valley is a good example of the dry valleys characteristic of the Paderborn plateau, which were mainly formed by ice-age glaciers. In the 22-hectare wilderness area that has been designated in the Merschetal, nature is left to its own devices, allowing the forest to die off as it ages.
