The Bodostein - a monument to hunting history

The Bodostein was erected in memory of Count Bodo von Oeynhausen on the forest path in the Eggegebirge (towards "Schwarzes Kreuz") near Langeland. Count Bodo von Oeynhausen is said to have shot a large four-toed stag at this spot. The village chronicler of the time reports: "These huge stones come from Velmerstot and were brought here by Driburg carters with wagons and six horses."
