Nature reserves that are really fun
Starting at the NABU Moorhus, the circular route begins with a highlight worth seeing. In addition to a permanent exhibition, the Moorhus offers expert lectures on flora and fauna as well as guided tours through the large peat bog, making it an important extracurricular place of learning. In good weather, the new Gehlenbeck outdoor pool right next door offers a dip in the cool water after the cycle tour: don't forget your swimwear!
The route itself leads along smaller paths past the Bockwindmühle Wehe windmill and the large stone of Tonnenheide to Rahden. Here it is worth visiting the museum farm before the tour continues from there along the Große Aue through the nature reserve. From the Große Aue, the route continues to Espelkamp and then back to Lübbecke. At junction 84, a detour to Benkhausen Castle and the Automatenmuseum can be included: simply follow KP 81.
