Itinerary

Arrival day - easy going in Herford
You check into the IntercityHotel Herford in the early afternoon and immediately enjoy the fabulous view of the "Marta Herford" art museum.
You can either visit the museum or take a city tour of the "Strong Women" in Herford with a visit to the modern archaeological window and then enjoy a relaxed dinner in a Herford restaurant. Of course, we can also offer to book theater, cinema or concert tickets for you.

Day 2 - Off to the "From farm to farm" cycle tour in Bielefeld!
This enjoyable cycle tour takes you through the idyllic countryside in the north of Bielefeld. You cycle along the Engelroute from Herford to Bielefeld city center. Here, a Bielefeld cycle guide will welcome you and take you on an exciting circular tour to discover picturesque farms, regional specialties and interesting stories.
Along the way, there are short detours to farm stores, some small tastings and exciting insights into agriculture and regionality.
Tour data
- Total distance: approx. 65 km
- Difficulty level: easy to moderately difficult
- Riding time: approx. 4 hours (+program in total approx. 7 hours)
- Start/finish: Herford center

Day 3 - On the forest & meadow route from Herford to Bad Salzuflen
You cycle independently on the well-marked forest and meadow route to Bad Salzuflen. Shortly after the city limits, the view opens up over extensive meadows and fields. You cycle through the idyllic Finnebach valley towards the Salzetal valley. Along the way, various viewpoints invite you to take a short break, have a chat or stop for a photo.
After about an hour's leisurely ride, you will reach Bad Salzuflen. The route leads right through the landscaped gardens to the spa gardens with their impressive graduation towers and the soothing salty air. From here it's time to relax: With fresh coffee and homemade cakes, an exploration of the spa gardens, possibly even with a spa concert, a glass of brine water, a visit to the Kneipp path or a relaxing break in the adventure graduation house. In Bad Salzuflen, you have plenty of opportunities to take a deep breath and enjoy yourself.
In the afternoon, you will make your way back along the Werre towards Herford. The route is largely traffic-free and offers the opportunity to enjoy the tranquil landscape and the sweeping views over the green surrounding countryside. You can round off the eventful day with a nice drink in a beer garden.
