Marta Café

The large copper-clad gallery above the generously curved counter of the Marta Café is a highlight of Frank Gehry's architecture.

In addition to the unique architecture, the terrace on the idyllic River Aa behind the museum contributes to the special ambience. Works of art from the Marta Collection have also been presented in the Marta Café from the very beginning, so that the enjoyment of art is accompanied by culinary delights beyond the exhibition rooms.

The gallery in the restaurant room features seating designed by the architect himself as well as the so-called "Gehry Lounge", which offers a separate private area. Civil wedding ceremonies can be held here, followed by a toast in the Marta Café.

The Marta Café has been open since summer 2024. The catering business is run by Team Laffontien and offers visitors a range of fresh regional and seasonal dishes as well as a wide selection of drinks.
