Museum/Exhibition
Marta Herford is more than just art: art, design and architecture, which are usually separated, can be found here under one roof.

And what a roof. The sculptural museum building from 2005 is an impressive original. The work of star architect Frank Gehry. Today, the unique building is a hallmark of Herford's originality and cosmopolitanism.

However sophisticated the people of Herford may be, they do not forget their Westphalian origins and present them proudly: the modern building has a façade made of clinker bricks, which is so typical of this region. Visitors to the varied exhibitions can sense the curiosity, openness and joy of experimentation that characterize the Museum of Contemporary Art. The internationally oriented museum also regularly focuses on design and architecture. Marta Herford is a lively forum that promotes exchange between art, business and society.
