It is meant to serve the relaxation of body and soul, promote health, is rather cheerful in nature, and naturally appeals to a wide audience, the spa music. A particularly successful proponent of this genre is the "State Spa Orchestra".
The founder and leader of the State Spa Orchestra is the native Hungarian György Kovacs, who studied clarinet himself and obtained his diploma at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest.
The daily spa music is performed by an ensemble of up to seven musicians, in the mornings and afternoons, except on Mondays. In the winter months, the orchestra performs in a smaller ensemble. The spa concerts in the first half feature potpourris, for example from operettas and overtures, while the second half includes musical and pop melodies, swing, Dixieland, and more. Special concerts have specific themes, such as the Italy trip with music by Verdi and Rossini, or French composers like Bizet and Massenet. The most attended concerts are the request concerts on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons.

The spa concerts take place at the concert shell in good weather. In bad weather, they are moved to the colonnade. Price info
