William Wahl presents his third program with "wahlweise". His Wahl songs not only resound live in front of sold-out venues across Germany, but have also been heard millions of times on the Internet.

His wordplay is a reliable source of laughter, as it is the very special blend of poetry and comedy with which he manages to master the keyboard of the circle.

His piano songs are bittersweet, and in them he always maintains a loving view of life despite his very fine observation of human weaknesses.

Not least in his song "Rein versehentlich einvernehmlich", he shows us that we might still be able to manage love after all. Despite all this,

or to put it in his words: The other side of the coin is also made of gold.

William Wahl, born on October 12, 1973 in Bochum, is a German singer-songwriter, singer, cabaret artist and author. After studying music in Cologne and Berlin, he initially worked as musical director of various theater and musical productions. He became known as a founding member and creative head of the a cappella group basta, for which he wrote numerous songs and also performed on stage as a singer. 

In 2012, Wahl released his first solo album Wie schön wir waren, which he himself categorized as  "chamber pop". With the following albums, he turned to chanson and piano cabaret from 2018 and went on tour as a solo artist; initially alongside his work for basta, and since the end of the band in 2022 exclusively solo on the piano.

In 2019, Wahl wrote songs for the film adaptation of the novel Unsere wunderbaren Jahre (ARD, directed by: Elmar Fischer) and appeared in it himself. In 2020, he composed the songs for the production of Alice in Wonderland at Theater Bonn together with director Simon Solberg. He is also the author of the children's book series Ella & Ben, the first volumes of which were published in 2022.

Over the years, William Wahl's programs have regularly been awarded prizes, including the Stuttgarter Besen (2020), the Freiburger Leiter (2023) and the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis 2026 in the music category. William Wahl lives with his family near Cologne.
