Public city tour: The 2nd women's movement in Herford
In 1977, the so-called "second women's movement" was formed in Herford.
The city walk takes you to some of the places where the first women met to discuss the role of women in society and their problems and needs, and where the first projects were planned, such as women's discussion groups, a women's festival, girls' project days and a women's shelter.
Over the decades, new topics were added and further offers were made, which were then not only realized by volunteers but also by permanent employees.
Meeting point: Westfalen Weser Energie parking lot, Bielefelder Str. 9
Children up to the age of 14 walk free of charge.
If possible, please pay the city guide directly on site.
