At that time, it was the only monument that reminded us of the noble ladies' abbey.
At the top of the column, a lady of the abbey rides a dolphin, the abbey coat of arms clearly visible in her arms. As befits her aristocratic position, we must look up to her.
In the Greek cult of the dead, dolphins guided the souls of the deceased. A fitting symbol, because for centuries, the nuns were responsible for the memoria, the commemoration of prayers.
