The Traditional german "Schützenfest"of Paderborn

The PBSV's most important event is the "Schützenfest", which is traditionally celebrated on the second weekend in July.

The "Schützenfest" begins on Friday evening with the Grand Tattoo in front of the town hall, continues on Saturday with the internal commemoration and honors, followed on Sunday by the shooting mass in the cathedral, prince shooting and the parade in honor of the "old" royal couple and court. The festival ends on Monday with a marksmen's breakfast, royal shooting, parade in honor of the "new" royal household and fireworks.

The Schützenfest also includes marches through the town to the Schützenplatz and a three-day public festival for the entire population. The PBSV regularly expects between 15,000 and 20,000 visitors.
