The "Paderborn Lake Tour" leads to the northern part of Paderborn - to Schloß Neuhaus, Sande and Sennelager. At just over 26 kilometers, it is a relatively short tour, but promises a lot of impressions and variety. On the one hand, it is ideal for a leisurely bike ride, and on the other, it is also ideal as a family tour with children, as it has no inclines and also offers opportunities to take breaks along the way.
The "Paderborner Seentour" is a 26 km circular route, so you can start and finish at any point. We recommend cycling the route counterclockwise.

Directions
The "Paderborn Lakes Tour" introduces you to several Paderborn lakes - as the name suggests: Padersee, Lippesee, Thuner See, Habichtsee, Waldsee, the two Talleseen lakes and the fish ponds are located directly along the route.
You can get to know a total of seven lakes on this tour, which is around 26 kilometers long. None of the lakes are of natural origin. They were all created by excavation and later became popular recreational areas. The route has almost no inclines and is also suitable for excursions with children.
As popular recreational and leisure destinations, the lakes offer opportunities for sailing, surfing, swimming, water skiing, fishing and walking. At Lake Lippe there is also a sandy beach, skate park, off-road bike course, boules courts, beach volleyball courts and children's playgrounds. Mini golf courses can be found in the Schloß- und Auenpark, at the Lippesee and near the fish ponds. There are refreshment stops at Lippesee, Nesthauser See, Padersee, Schloßpark Schloß Neuhaus and the fish ponds.
The approximately 26-kilometre excursion starts at the cycle route information display case on the western Maspernplatz near the children's playground on the inner city ring road. The tour is signposted as "PB 1", i.e. "Paderborn Tour 1". It first leads past the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum to the Fischteiche recreational area. This is followed at short intervals by the Talleseen, Waldsee, Habichtsee and the small Thuner See lakes, before almost circling the Lippesee on the main route.
A variant of the tour branches off at the north-western end of Lake Lippe and runs past the Alt-Enginger Mühle mill, then along Nesthauser See ("water ski lake"). The route then leads back to the starting point at Maspernplatz through the Schloß- und Auenpark and along Lake Padersee.
