Konzert zur Kaffeezeit

  • Concert various
with the Staatsbad Orchestra

It is meant to serve the relaxation of body and soul, promote health, is rather cheerful in nature, and naturally appeals to a wide audience, the spa music. A particularly successful advocate of this genre is the "Bad Salzuflen Orchestra".

The founder and head of the Bad Salzuflen Orchestra is the native Hungarian György Kovacs, who studied clarinet himself and completed his diploma at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest.

The daily spa music can be heard in a setting of up to seven musicians, in the mornings and afternoons, except on Mondays. In the winter months, the orchestra performs in a smaller formation. The spa concerts feature potpourris in the first half, for example from operettas and overtures, and in the second half, melodies from musicals and hits, swing, Dixieland, and more. Special concerts have specific themes, such as the Italy trip with music by Verdi and Rossini, or French composers like Bizet and Massenet. The most well-attended are the request concerts on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons.
