Nature reserve/natural monument
The Vogeltaufe is a sloping ridge of the Stemberg and owes its name to an old legend.

Abbot Anastasius wanted to baptize the Lippe pagans at this location. This ceremony was to be attended by monks from Paderborn,  on the way there they were attacked and the baptism had to begin without the monks. When it was Abbio of Titomalli's turn, a multitude of birds came and chirped happily. The stone  created by the Horner sculptor Robert Henkel commemorates this legend.
