The start of the Hermannslauf is located in the immediate vicinity of the Hermann Monument, which is famous beyond the borders of East Westphalia. Participants have the option of using a bus transfer from Bielefeld or the shuttle service from the train station in Detmold to the start at the Hermann Monument. The challenging route leads over the mountain ranges of the Teutoburg Forest to the finish, the Sparrenburg in Bielefeld.
The start is from 11.00 a.m.
The division into the starting groups is based on previous performances of the last two Hermann runs or comparable performances.
