Museum/Exhibition
Verl House No. 8 - also known as Maasjost House - is one of the most historically significant buildings in the center of the town of Verl. Hidden inside is a real treasure: a historic button factory with an exhibition and the old furnishings of the former Maasjost printing works.
The more than 100-year-old button manufactory originates from Andeville, a town near Paris. The Gustave Depuis family produced buttons in the factory until the 1980s. The facility was completely dismantled on a private initiative and then faithfully rebuilt in Verl and brought back to life. Today, all production phases of button manufacturing can be admired up close in this unique facility.

In addition to the historic machine hall, the house also houses a button museum, in which a lot of interesting facts about the "world of buttons" have been compiled.

With the opening of the museum, the historic machines and setting boxes from the founding period of the Verler Druckerei Maasjost returned to their original location and now bear witness to an old craft that has become obsolete in the age of digital technology. Visitors can experience two historical manufactories in operation at Verl House No. 8.

In addition, there is also a documentation about the history of the house, which is exemplary for the different eras of Verl's village history.
