Rilke-Gedenkstein

Monument
In memory of Rainer Maria Rilke
In 1978, the municipality of Rödinghausen erected a "Rilke memorial stone" at a particularly beautiful vantage point on Schluchtenweg to the west of the Klosteracker junction. It commemorates Rainer Maria Rilke, who stayed at Gut Böckel in 1917 and found shelter there with the poet and landowner Hertha Koenig during difficult times.
