Rastplatz an der Arminiusquelle in Werther an dem Wanderweg "Weg für Genießer - 5 Sinne erleben am Teutoburger Wald"
The hiking trail “Path for Connoisseurs—Experience the 5 Senses in the Teutoburg Forest” leads right past the Arminius Spring. Here, you’re invited to take a break. You can experience the sense of “smell” up close at our scent stele and enjoy the typical scents of the forest. True to the motto “Just take a deep breath”! In addition to creating hiking trails, the Beautification Association restored the Arminius Spring on the heights of the Teutoburg Forest in 1928. In its current form, it stems from a tradition of venerating springs that emerged around the middle of the last century. This spring was originally walled in to provide refreshment for hikers.
You can reach the Arminius Spring on foot via the X10 trail. Starting from the “Ascheloh” hiking parking lot and passing the “Schanze” waterworks, you’ll reach the rest area after a hike of about 10 minutes.
