Discover your five senses on the "trail for connoisseurs". The 94 km long hiking trail takes you along the Teutoburg Forest through a total of five places and will stimulate your five senses! Each place stands for one of the senses. Feel, smell, taste, hear and see - many surprises are waiting to be discovered along the way. And in between, treat yourself to a rest at exclusive resting places. Have fun!

This section offers an enticing overall package: unspoiled nature, diverse history, fascinating art and important industry. From the center of Steinhagen - after a detour to the museum - you hike through the Teutoburg Forest up to the Kaiser Friedrich Hütte. At the Arminius spring, you reach the "Riechen" rest area. After the descent, Werther awaits you with a cornucopia of sights. It's all about bone glue, a famous painter and plenty of confectionery.

The hiking trail is well signposted in both directions. Please follow the red and white signs with the inscription 'Weg für Genießer' and the 'G'.

Pay a visit to the Steinhagen Historical Museum! Here, on an exhibition area of over 650 square meters, you will not only find a carefully assembled collection of historical distilling equipment and utensils for the production and sale of "Steinhäger", but also replicas of an old local pharmacy and a "corner store".
