Church
Germany's oldest Marian pilgrimage site
Visit the pretty pilgrimage church and be enchanted by the impressive architecture and ornate details.

The pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomew, an impressive building with a centuries-old history, is the heart of the Verne pilgrimage. The first stone church was built around the year 1000 and has been continuously expanded over the centuries.

The May processions to the Brünneken take place on the first and third Sundays in May. On the second and fourth Sundays in May there is a Marian devotion at 6.00 pm at the Brünneken.
