Schäfermeier Mill

Museum/Exhibition
Mill
The technical monument of the Schäfermeier mill in Salzkotten-Verne from 1819, one of the most important mills in Westphalian mill culture, is a living example of this.
The Salzkottener Förderverein für historische Bauten acquired this monument years ago with the aim of restoring the old building with all the technology still in place today and preserving it for our descendants.

The association will be happy to welcome you for a visit by prior arrangement:
Come to us as a school class, club, family or other group and experience an entertaining journey through time with a highly interesting guided tour while the mill is in operation. You are also welcome to top off your visit with a previously arranged cozy coffee break in the historic rooms.

You should definitely also enjoy the beautiful and unique view of the famous Vernaburg. The new observation tower is also available for this purpose.
