In various stages, the Nordpark was transformed from a formal, geometrically designed park, through its interim use as a potato field during the Second World War, into a city park covering several hectares and characterized by old trees.
The Nordpark is a meeting place for families, sports enthusiasts, groups of friends and those seeking relaxation. The structure, probably built by a student of the famous architect Schinkel in 1830, is a listed building. The numerous perennial plants and the dahlia show are particularly attractive. There is also a mini golf course and a playground.
