Kroe Haus
Walter Krömmelbein, artist's name Kroe, was part of the absolute painting movement in Germany. From 1952, he painted in the Informel style and was one of the companions of K.O. Götz, Bernhard Schultze and the Quadriga group of painters in Frankfurt. He and his family lived in Borgholzhausen after the Second World War. The Künstlerhaus, which has been owned by the foundation since 2017, can be reached via one of the most beautiful footpaths in Borgholzhausen. The park-like garden designed by Kroe and the lovingly furnished house are to be preserved and made accessible to the public.
Opening times: The Künstlerhaus can only be visited as part of a guided tour
